A letter of recommendation is NOT required for your Rice Study Abroad application.
You only need to request one if you would like to be considered for one of our SCHOLARSHIPS (merit or need-based).

You only need to request one if you would like to be considered for one of our scholarships (merit or need-based). The Office of Study Abroad awards a limited number of these scholarships each application cycle.
Remember that if you are seeking scholarship consideration, you must submit your applications by our priority deadline!
(October 1st in the fall, March 15th in the spring)
