A letter of recommendation is NOT required for your Rice Study Abroad application.

You only need to request one if you would like to be considered for one of our SCHOLARSHIPS (merit or need-based).

If your external program application requires official approval from our office, you must complete (A) the Rice Study Abroad and (B) all other requirements for the external program application before your advisor can complete the approval.

Your deadline is considered early if it falls before our Final Cut-Off Date (October 15th in the Fall or March 31st in the Spring).

The deadline displaying here in the Rice Study Abroad application portal is your final deadline.

You must submit both your Rice Study Abroad application AND your external program application by this date!
