Location

ITAM is located in the historic neighborhood of San Ángel, southwest of Mexico City in the delegación (borough) of Álvaro Obregón.  Its wistful name originated in the times of the founding of the Carmelite college during the 17th century, established there to take advantage of a location ideally suited to quiet meditation and the contemplation of nature.

Mexico is a vast country covering over 770,000 square miles, or almost 2 million square kilometers.  With over 100 million inhabitants it is the largest Spanish-speaking nation in the world.  Mexico's Mayan-Aztec heritage, colonial cities, coastal resorts and cultural diversity, attract many foreign visitors every year.

Housing

ITAM will arrange for students to live in a comfortable student residence within walking distance of ITAM.  Accommodation is completely furnished with full kitchen facilities,  common living and dining rooms, roof garden, wireless internet, 24-hour security, bedding (students should bring their own towels), and all utilities.  Laundry services are also located on the premises.
